Our world is full of unique geological event. Examples of these are tsunamis, typhoons, eruption of volcanoes, and the movement of plates which is the earthquake. All of these events are dangerous and deadly. How can we manage to get rid of these events? Can we predict it to happen? Is there anything we can to do make ourselves safe from these?

These events can kill us and can wipe out humanity especially the earthquake. Earthquakes are the sudden release of energy in the earth’s crust. Due to the fast advancement of technology, experts developed technologies that can detect on how strong and where does an earthquake occur. But we must not focus on the science behind earthquakes. Participating in Earthquakes drills can make us safe. What is Earthquake drill? Earthquake drill is the used to practice in preparation for an earthquake about what to do before, during, and after an earthquake. The Government mainly the National Disaster Risk Reduction Management Council leads the National Simultaneous Earthquake Drill 2020. Here they tackled about safety measures and the things to do before, during and after an earthquake. Every house must have a survival kit that contained flashlights, extra batteries, and portable radio, ready to eat food, whistle, enough water, survival tools, and med kit. During earthquake, do the duck, cover, and hold. Keep calm, use the whistle to call for help. These exercises will someday save us from earthquakes. Earthquakes drills are very important part of our preparedness plan because it teaches us students and other people on how we respond to the effects of real earthquake. Earthquakes are unpredictable but we can prepare for it to come. Because when a real earthquake comes, we have knowledge of how are we going to do.

Benjamin Franklin once said, “Tell me and I forget, teach me, and I may remember, involve me and I learn”. We must take earthquake drills seriously. Then when real earthquake come, we are prepared enough. It is commendable that are government have a plan in making us people safe.

Covid-19 stopping Education

                 Learning during this pandemic is complicated. Learning during this pandemic for me is like taking homework every day without going to school.  For me the quality of Education during this pandemic is bad. People try their best to buy gadgets for their online classes. Does this pandemic can really stop our learning?

               Department of Education (Deped) is trying their best to support students and pupils to stay productive although there is pandemic. Education in the Philippines can be through modular or online. For me, studying online and not face to face is hard because there is no teacher who is guiding you, no friends to talk to. I also doubt that students will learn anything this school year because the modules and task given to students and pupils are limited. For grade school they can learn because they have their parents who guide them but what about those graduating students that needed experience for their course? In school, students can easily learn because the teacher provides explanation and also demonstration. The impact of this pandemic to education has been observed globally. Online learning also have cons. cheating and answer sheet sharing are identified to be the problem in this online learning. Cheating can be more possible through online learning than face to face learning. It is in ourselves to take the easy way so student cheat to make their task easier. Government should allow face to face learning in places without Covid cases.

               Every one of us is a genius like Albert Einstein said. The system of learning today must improve to thrive so that the productivity of every students would stay. The quality of education can still be better if we study harder and not to pressure ourselves during this situation.

                Have you ever been in a country which is a beautiful, has wonders of different places and has a lot of resources. Which do you think is that country? Yes it is the Philippines but have you ever wondered why this resources and tourist spot don’t make the country better? And why the Philippines is still a third world country?

               The situation in the Philippines right now is hard where one mistake of the country will lead to loss of opportunity to become a better country. Becoming allies in other countries is a big factor for becoming a better and strong country but it is a also a hard, tough, and risky decision because if you allied to a wrong country it will lead to devastating outcome in the country of Philippines. Yes, the country of Philippines has wonder places and a lot of resources. The country of Philippines needs a better and wise leader to use this opportunities properly. Leaders are the one who knows the way and to show the way to their people.  But how can we do all this if the leader is only the one who is moving? In short how can a country grow without the cooperation of the people and the leader?

               Which path does the country will take? Let us unite for the country to thrive and change the system for the better. Let us unite as one and become a more Resilient Philippines. The beauty of the country, the diverse and uniqueness of the country, and the resources that has the country Philippines have will loss if this are not use correctly and properly so which decision? Which path?
